Indonesia Promotes Centralized Scholarship Information System

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology promotes the development of a centralized scholarship information system to expand access to higher education opportunities. The initiative was discussed during the SatuBeasiswa Indonesia Scholarship Partners Forum held at the Kemdiktisaintek office in Jakarta ,on Wednesday September 16, 2026.

Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Brian Yuliarto, said Indonesia has a wide range of scholarship opportunities provided by the central government, regional governments, universities, philanthropic organizations, companies, and partner countries. However, information about these programs remains scattered across various channels, meaning that available scholarships have not yet fully reached people who need them most.

“To address this issue, we have introduced SatuBeasiswa Indonesia. The idea is simple: we bring scholarship information from all our partners together in one platform, allowing it to reach prospective recipients across Indonesia, both in major cities and remote areas,” Brian said.

SatuBeasiswa Indonesia is an integrated platform designed to consolidate and expand the publication of scholarship programs so they can be accessed more inclusively. The platform is open to anyone seeking to pursue higher education, including prospective students, current university students, alumni, and the general public.

As of September 15, 2026, SatuBeasiswa Indonesia had publicly listed 71 scholarship programs, with total funding from the government and its partners reaching approximately 16.37 trillion rupiah. The data covers more than 853,000 beneficiaries from a total quota of around 1.22 million recipients, although the figures remain provisional and are expected to grow as more partners join and additional data are verified.

The platform has also recorded 465 types of scholarships from various providers, consisting of 340 scholarships from philanthropic partners, 54 from regional governments, 27 from the central government, 27 from companies, and 17 from universities. “These figures show something we should be grateful for. Philanthropic partners contribute the largest number of scholarship programs, demonstrating the strong commitment of society to supporting the education of the nation’s young people,” Brian said.

The consolidation of scholarship information is expected to support the national agenda to expand access to higher education and increase the Gross Enrollment Rate (GER) for higher education. The rate stood at 32.89 percent in 2025 and is targeted to increase to 34.92 percent in 2026, 38.04 percent by 2029, and 60 percent by 2045.

By entering their scholarship data into SatuBeasiswa Indonesia, partners can gain nationwide visibility and broader promotional reach while strengthening the credibility and legitimacy of their programs. For the government, more comprehensive data will enable more accurate mapping of national scholarship needs and help synchronize programs among partners to support more equitable access to higher education across Indonesia.

The forum brought together various scholarship providers, including government ministries and agencies, regional governments, partner-country governments, universities, philanthropic organizations, companies, and recipients of the Indonesia Smart College Card (KIP Kuliah). Through SatuBeasiswa Indonesia, Kemdiktisaintek aims to continue expanding access to higher education through an integrated digital ecosystem that can eventually serve as a decision-making tool to support national human resource development.
