Vice Minister Visits SMA KT Bhayangkara, Urges Development of Human Resources

RRI.CO.ID, Bogor - Indonesia's Vice Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia, Donny Ermawan Taufanto, in his capacity as Governor of University of Republic of Indonesia (URI), visited SMA Kemala Taruna Bhayangkara (KTB) in Bogor Regency, West Java, Sunday, August 9, 2026. The visit was conducted to inspect a leading high school that implements the International Baccalaureate (IB) educational curriculum.

During the visit, he inspected various facilities and the school environment that support teaching and learning activities. The inspection covered the infrastructure and amenities used to facilitate the educational process and the development of students' potential.

As quoted from kemhan.go.id, the Vice Minister also observed directly how the school environment is designed to create a supportive learning atmosphere. The visit is expected to provide insight into the implementation of quality education in fostering the development of the younger generation.

He said developing superior human resources requires more than just equipping the youth with academic knowledge. According to him, academic proficiency must go hand-in-hand with character building to serve as a vital foundation for facing future challenges.

Meanwhile, Steering Board of the SMA Kemala Taruna Bhayangkara (KTB), Brigadier General Budhi Herdi Susianto, conveyed this effort is part of the initiative to mold a young generation possessing competence, skills, and integrity. He explained,”The school's curriculum and teaching standards have been certified by the International Baccalaureate (IB).”

He said this certification extends to the teaching staff and the layout of learning spaces within the SMA KTB environment. The implementation of IB standards is expected to support a high-quality educational process while strengthening the development of students' potential.

The visit was also attended by the Deputy Governor of URI, Special Assistant of President, Dirgayuza Setiawan, and SMA KTB officials. Additionally, representatives from Indonesian Nation-Building Cadre Education Foundation were also present at the event.
