  • The Ministry of Trade’s UMKM BISA Ekspor program recorded USD 333 million in transactions from January to July 2026.
  • Around 70 percent of participants in the program have never exported before.

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Indonesian Trade Minister Budi Santoso said transactions under the UMKM BISA Ekspor (Micro, small and medium enterprises can export) program reached USD 333 million from January to July 2026, an increase compared to the USD 134.8 million recorded throughout 2025.

“Last year, transactions totaled USD 134.8 million. Now, January–July has already reached USD 333 million,” Minister Budi said at the Ministry’s office in Jakarta on Wednesday, September 9.

He explained that the UMKM BISA Ekspor program connects business owners with potential buyers in foreign markets. The Ministry facilitates MSMEs through a network of trade representatives in various countries.

The Ministry currently has 46 trade representatives, comprising Trade Attachés and Indonesia Trade Promotion Centers (ITPCs), in 33 countries. According to Minister Budi, business owners can present their products online to trade representatives, who then connect them with potential buyers.

He added that trade representatives also assist MSMEs in finding buyers. This support includes translation assistance for business owners communicating with buyers in target countries.

“For example, if the buyer is from Taiwan or Japan and uses their own language, you don’t need to worry. Our team will help translate,” he said.

Minister Budi noted that, on average, 70 percent of participants in the UMKM BISA Ekspor program have never exported before. “So none of you need to worry if you’ve never exported before. It is still possible to export,” he said. (Gusti Panji)
