RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The creative marketplace event Wiwitan Market at Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD) Park, Jakarta on September 5–6, 2026, was not merely a place to hunt for local products, but also a stage for nature conservation education through the presence of the Artha Graha Peduli Pavilion. The introduction of the Tambling Wildlife Nature Conservation (TWNC) area underscored the importance of uniting the spirit of creative economic growth with concern for preserving the environment for the younger generation.

Besides TWNC, Wiwitan Market also provided health education through Arthakes, as well as safety and security education through Artha Security Group Firefighting Team. The event presented a variety of local creative products from more than 200 business actors and served as a space for the public to get to know and appreciate Indonesian local works.

“When we talk about Artha Graha Peduli, one of the important parts of its spirit is how to protect and elevate Indonesia’s wealth, whether from the aspects of nature, culture, or its people,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, at the event location in a written statement on Sunday, September 6, 2026.

“That spirit is also present at the Local Market through the Artha Graha Peduli Pavilion. There, the public receives environmental education via Tambling Wildlife Nature Conservation, health from Arthakes, and safety through fire brigade education,” said Irene Umar, as reported by Antara.

According to Irene, the presence of Tambling Wildlife Nature Conservation in the Artha Graha Peduli Pavilion serves as an effective educational medium. Its presence helps introduce the importance of preserving Indonesia’s natural wealth more closely to the public.

“Tambling has extraordinary natural wealth and is one example of how Indonesia possesses natural potential that we must continue to protect together. Therefore, education on the environment and conservation is important so that the public, including the younger generation, increasingly understands that protecting nature is part of our shared responsibility,” she added.

Irene also assessed that an educational approach combining environmental, health, and safety issues gives spaces like the Local Market broader value for society.

“When creative economy, environmental concern, health, and safety can be present in one space, the benefits become broader and can be felt by the public,” concluded Irene.

Through this synergy, Wiwitan Market SCBD is not merely present as a creative marketplace. The event becomes a venue to bring creative communities together while expanding public appreciation for Indonesian local products.

“The collaboration between Creative Event Entertainment and The Local Market ID through Wiwitan Market SCBD presents a public space that connects communities, creative actors, and the public. This step also strengthens SCBD’s position as a destination for creative and cultural activities, not just a business center,” said Director of Creative Event Entertainment (CEE), Ananta Pribadi.

The Local Market ID – Wiwitan Market SCBD is also part of efforts to expand market access for Indonesian creative economy actors. Like previous editions in SCBD, this Wiwitan Market was attended by more than 200 curated local creative market players.

North Maluku Governor, Sherly Tjoanda Laos, appreciated the diversity of local products present at Wiwitan Market. According to her, the presence of products from various regions in Indonesia gives the public the opportunity to get to know products that may not be found in conventional retail markets.

“What’s interesting is that we can also find products from outside Jakarta. There are some from Bali and other provinces, including products we may never have seen in supermarkets. With more choices, of course MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) also get more opportunities to earn profits,” said Governor Sherly.

“The visitors are also getting more crowded because there are not only products, but also various attractions. There is educational entertainment for children, dance, performances, so this place can become an ecosystem for the entire creative economy,” she added.

According to Sherly, the existence of spaces like Wiwitan Market needs to be directed not only to help MSMEs gain markets, but also to encourage them to develop into more professional and sustainable businesses.

“What is more important is the opportunity for MSMEs to move up a level. So we are not only talking about those who are just starting out, but how they can develop their businesses to be better, more professional, and of course more sustainable. Their businesses can generate profits and ultimately provide benefits for their families,” she explained.

A variety of art performances enlivened the event, ranging from classical music orchestra, jazz band, solo saxophone, keroncong, to acoustic performances. The festivity was further completed by the presence of a musical drama from Ruang Talenta Inklusif Indonesia, bringing the spirit of inclusivity to the art stage.

One of the other attractive highlights was the collaboration of DJs with traditional music, blending the energy of modern music with the musical wealth of Nusantara.

For Sherly, sustainability is also an important part of building the creative economy ecosystem. According to him, economic and creative growth needs to go hand in hand with concern for the environment.

“Sustainability is also important. How we can continue to live together with nature, especially now that we see so many environmental challenges we face. So the economy, creativity, society, and nature must be able to go together,” said Sherly.

Through Wiwitan Market SCBD, The Local Market ID hopes to continue building an ecosystem that supports the growth of local creative actors. This platform also invites the public to increasingly recognize, enjoy, and support Indonesian-made works and products.

Ku Ka Aku Suka is a platform committed to introducing and supporting Indonesian local products through online and offline activities. Born from the spirit of Aku Suka (I Like It), Ku Ka Aku Suka believes that love for local products can grow when the public is given the opportunity to directly see the quality, story, and value of each work.

Through The Local Market, Ku Ka Aku Suka presents an offline space for artisans, designers, local business actors, creative communities, and the public to meet face to face. This event becomes a venue to build trust, expand markets, and celebrate the wealth of Indonesian local products in a closer and more human way. ***
