RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said Jakarta is ready to become an investment destination for investors from various countries by simplifying regulations and licensing processes to provide greater certainty for investors.
“Jakarta is ready to become an investment destination for investors worldwide,” Pramono said during the Jakarta Investment Festival (JIF) Summit 2026 in Jakarta on Friday.
Pramono said the Jakarta Provincial Government continues to simplify regulations that were previously considered complicated and time-consuming. He cited the approval process for the Floor Area Ratio(KLB), which previously could take decades but is now targeted to be completed within a maximum of 15 days.
“It must now be completed within a maximum of 15 days. It is transparent and open, and the calculations are clear,” he said.
According to Pramono, certainty and transparency in the licensing process are important factors in creating a better investment climate in Jakarta. He said the Jakarta Investment Festival (JIF) Summit 2026 was held to attract investors who have already invested in Jakarta while also opening opportunities for new investors.
“The Jakarta Government is holding the Investment Festival 2026 intending to attract investors who have already invested in Jakarta,” Pramono said.
Pramono added that the Jakarta Provincial Government will continue to facilitate investment to make Jakarta a competitive investment destination. He said the Jakarta Provincial Government is offering 37 strategic investment projects with an indicative value of Rp115 trillion to investors at the Jakarta Investment Festival (JIF) Summit 2026.
During the summit, Pramono also highlighted Jakarta’s relatively strong economic conditions. In the first half of 2026, Jakarta’s economy grew by 5.52 percent, higher than the national economic growth rate. Meanwhile, Jakarta’s inflation stood at 2.5 percent.
Pramono also said investment realization in Jakarta during the period reached Rp173.6 trillion, equivalent to around US$10.5 billion. “We are proud to present a portfolio of 37 strategic investment projects across Jakarta, with a total indicative investment value of approximately Rp115 trillion,” Pramono said.
According to Pramono, Jakarta’s global standing has also continued to improve. Jakarta’s ranking in the Kearney Global Cities Index rose from 74th to 71st.
