RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Indonesian Deputy Minister of Trade, Dyah Roro Esti, has set a target for Indonesia’s export value to reach USD 315 billion by 2026. This target is consistent with projections for national export growth in the range of 5.3 to 6.9 percent throughout this year.
Dyah Roro stated that Indonesia’s exports in June 2026 totaled USD 25.4 billion. This figure represents an 8 percent increase compared to the same period in 2025.
“Certainly, the market segments here are diverse. Product-based segmentation also varies; naturally, the food and beverage (F&B) sector itself is included in this,” said Dyah Roro at the Indonesia F&B Trade Promotion Forum in Jakarta on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
According to her, the F&B sector plays a role in supporting economic growth while strengthening the image of Indonesian products in the global market. The government is also working to connect businesses with potential buyers from various countries through Indonesia’s network of trade representatives.
Currently, the Ministry has Indonesian Trade Representative Centers (ITPCs) in 33 countries. Businesses can utilize this network to obtain market information.
The ITPC also helps identify buyers suitable for Indonesian products. Dyah Roro expects these efforts to enhance competitiveness and expand the penetration of Indonesian products in global markets.
Previously, Trade Minister Budi Santoso committed to boosting Indonesia’s exports by expanding market access through international trade agreements. The Ministry encourages businesses in the manufacturing sector, including companies investing in Indonesia, to make optimal use of these trade agreements.
According to Minister Budi, businesses can secure more competitive tariffs in destination countries by leveraging these trade agreements. He noted that Indonesia has 20 trade agreements that have been implemented, 15 in the ratification process, and 11 still under negotiation. (Gusti Panji)
