Announced on Friday, August 7, 2026, the transaction creates a newly formed joint venture designed to strengthen regional food security and expand protein distribution networks across Southeast Asia and Oceania.

The venture brings an additional USD 2.5 billion in investment capacity, raising the total available capital to USD 5 billion for acquisitions and greenfield projects. This strategic funding will directly target high-growth opportunities across Indonesia, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.

Through this partnership, DIM gains direct entry into an established, developed-market ecosystem supported by JBS's experienced management team. Chief Investment Officer of Danantara Indonesia, Pandu Patria Sjahrir, highlighted the strategic alignment of the international deal. "This strategic partnership reflects Danantara Indonesia's commitment to building collaborations with global partners that are aligned with our investment mandate," Pandu said.

Furthermore, he added that the partnership would do more than just provide access to a well-established business ecosystem in a developed international market. Pandu explained that the collaboration was expected to leverage JBS's expertise and global distribution channels to help support the long-term growth of Indonesia's domestic protein sector.

Global Chief Executive Officer of JBS, Gilberto Tomazoni, affirmed the broader regional growth potential of the strategic alignment. "Our partnership with Danantara Indonesia marks an important step in our long-term growth strategy in Southeast Asia. As a cornerstone of the broader JBS global platform, our Australia and New Zealand footprint provides strong operations, world-class standards, and significant growth potential," he stated.

Subject to standard regulatory approvals, the transaction reinforces the mandate of Danantara Indonesia, established under Law No. 1 of 2025, to optimize state assets and elevate national competitiveness in global markets.
