RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK) is intensifying measures to safeguard national financial stability through stronger banking oversight, capital market reforms, and enhanced consumer protection.

Chair of OJK’s Board of Commissioners, Friderica Widyasari Dewi, said Tuesday, August 4, 2026, in Jakarta that the authority continues to reinforce coordination with stakeholders across sectors.

In banking, OJK is optimizing the Financial Information Service System (SLIK) to expand public access to financing. Credit information updates must now be completed within three working days after repayment. A new minimum threshold of IDR 1 million for debtors in SLIK services also took effect on July 1, 2026.

On foreign exchange, OJK supports the implementation of the Natural Resource Export Proceeds (DHE SDA) policy through escrow account monitoring, cross‑agency coordination, and ensuring banking readiness. Export proceeds can also be used as cash collateral, strengthening national forex management.

In the capital market, OJK and self‑regulatory organizations are advancing reforms to bolster market integrity and deepen trading. New regulations include the development of a carbon exchange and the release of the Derivatives Market Roadmap 2026–2030 and IDX Sustainable Roadmap 2026–2030.

For consumer protection, OJK has tightened oversight of financial information providers, including influencers, under POJK No. 6/2026. The regulation aims to prevent misleading content and ensure stronger safeguards for consumers.

Friderica emphasized that these measures are designed to reinforce resilience across Indonesia’s financial system while protecting public trust. (Gusti Panji)
