RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Bhayangkari, a civil organization uniting wives of the Indonesian National Police (Polri), held the 2026 Bhayangkari Nusantara Creative Bazaar at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC) in Jakarta on 21–25 July 2026. The wife of Indonesia's Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, Selvi Ananda, opened the event on Tuesday, 21 July 2026.

A total of 727 booths participated in the activities, which are part of efforts to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem and local economy. The series of activities included talk shows, workshops, cooking demonstrations, fashion shows themed Gambang Semarang and Bengawan Solo, and the colossal dance "Smaradaya Nusantara".

Selvi, in her remarks, hopes that the bazaar will not only be an annual promotional event, but will develop into a space for collaboration and learning that brings together small businesses from various regions. She encouraged the strengthening of networks of artisans and small businesses in a sustainable manner to increase the competitiveness of local products while supporting national economic growth.

"Hopefully, this bazaar will not only be an annual exhibition space, but also become a forum for collaboration, learning, and strengthening the network of artisans and MSME (micro, small, and medium enterprises) actors on an ongoing basis," said Ibu Selvi.

Selvi, a Chairperson of the National Crafts Council (Dekranas), believes Bhayangkari plays a strategic role in assisting small businesses to improve product quality and expand their markets. She encouraged continued strengthening of mentoring, including human capacity building, business digitalization, access to financing and marketing, and financial management literacy. Cross-sector collaboration is considered key to building MSMEs that are increasingly resilient, adaptive, and competitive.

In addition, Selvi emphasized the importance of empowering women and communities through the development of a creative economy based on local culture. She called on the public to embrace and take pride in the use domestic products as a form of real support for local works.

"Growing pride in domestic products means supporting the advancement of the indigenous craftmanship, in line with this year's main theme, which is to empower the archipelago," he said.

At that event, Selvi expressed her appreciation for Bhayangkari's commitment to implementing various empowerment programs for their family and the wider community. She hoped that Bhayangkari would continue to play an active role in supporting the National Police's service to the community and the nation.

Meanwhile, the chairwoman of Bhayangkari, Juliati Sapta Dewi Magdalena, stated that the bazaar would serve as a platform to promote superior small business products, expand marketing networks, and introduce the richness of Indonesian arts and culture to the public. She hoped the event would not only serve as a promotional and economic transaction platform, but also serve as a means to strengthen relationships, expand business networks, open up collaboration opportunities, and further foster public support for Indonesian products.

The bazaar was inaugurated by a bowstring pulling ceremony by Selvi and Juliati, accompanied by the bazaar's head of committee, Yayas Syahardiantono. After the inauguration, they reviewed the booths displaying crafts, fashion, culinary, and Bhayangkari handicrafts from various regions.
