RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Danantara Indonesia is accelerating consolidation in the state-owned investment management industry by acquiring four asset management companies, a move aimed at establishing Indonesia’s largest investment management firm.
PT Danantara Asset Management (DAM) has officially signed a Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) to take control of PT Mandiri Manajemen Investasi, PT BRI Manajemen Investasi, PT BNI Asset Management, and PT PNM Investment Management. The transfer places all entities under DAM as part of an integration process targeted for completion within one month.
The integration will be implemented gradually, with the company emphasizing prudence, regulatory compliance, and continuity of services for clients and business partners.
Danantara Indonesia Chief Operating Officer Dony Oskaria described the acquisition as a major step toward strengthening the national investment management industry.
“These four companies possess strong experience, networks, and capabilities, and collectively manage Assets Under Management (AUM) exceeding IDR 170 trillion (approximately USD 9.48 billion),” Dony said in Jakarta on Thursday, July 23, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
He explained that the merger will create a single entity to strengthen governance, enhance competitiveness, and expand investment access for both retail and institutional investors. “This process is part of the streamlining currently being carried out by Danantara Indonesia,” he added.
The consolidated company will combine the strengths of each entity to deliver more competitive investment solutions and provide greater added value to the national economy.
In the retail segment, the merged firm will develop thematic investment products through the State-owned Bank Association (Himbara) network, which serves more than 20 million Single Investor Identification (SID) holders. In the institutional segment, it will expand its investor base and offer more comprehensive investment solutions.
DAM is optimistic that the integration will build a national investment management institution that is competitive, trustworthy, and positioned as a key driver of growth in Indonesia’s capital market. ***
