Museum Kota Makassar: A Window Into the City's Past

RRI.CO.ID, Makassar - Museum Kota Makassar occupies a 1916 Dutch colonial building that once served as the city’s administrative center. Located in the heart of South Sulawesi, the historic building preserves European-style architecture while showcasing Makassar’s long and diverse history.

The building was formerly known as Gouvernements Gebouw and functioned as City Hall during the Dutch colonial period. Its grand architectural features have remained remarkably well preserved, making the building itself an important part of Makassar’s heritage.
