RRI.CO.ID, Singaraja - Lovina Festival 2026 officially opened at Lovina Beach, Buleleng Regency, Bali on Friday, 24 July 2026. Under the theme Theatre of Dolphins, this year’s festival emphasizes interregional collaboration and the involvement of various community groups to strengthen North Bali’s tourism appeal.

The opening ceremony featured the striking of cengceng (traditional cymbals) on the main stage at Lovina Beach. Buleleng Regent, I Nyoman Sutjidra, said in his remark that the Lovina Festival has grown into a platform for showcasing Buleleng’s cultural, artistic, and tourism potential to visitors.

“We invite all tourism stakeholders in the Lovina area to continue strengthening collaboration and synergy. Without their support, the Lovina Festival would not run smoothly,” said Regent Sutjidra.

He noted that this year’s promotion is carried out through cooperation between Buleleng Regency’s Tourism Agency and tourism agencies across Bali as well as Banyuwangi Regency. In addition, a variety of community groups, from artists and photographers to running clubs and traditional sampi gerumbungan (competition to decorate a pair of cows) practitioners, are involved in the festival’s programs.

The Buleleng Regency Administration has also begun collecting visitor data categorized by local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and industry, aiming to obtain information on visitor numbers and length of stay. Authorities expect this data to serve as the basis for more measurable tourism development policies.

Lovina Festival 2026 runs for five days, featuring a range of performances in arts, culture, and sports, as well as MSME exhibitions across the Lovina area. (Annaila Azzahra-EN)
