Opened by North Kalimantan Governor, Zainal A. Paliwang, on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, the arts event serves as a living medium to introduce the identity and authentic cultural roots of the Dayak Kenyah community to people across generations.
The festival also provides a moment to revive public affection for ancestral culture and to present it to a wider audience. Governor Zainal expressed his appreciation to the Dayak Kenyah Temengang Iwan community and all parties who worked together to organize the festival.
