RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The National Crafts Council (Dekranas) is developing an integrated digital communications ecosystem to connect the central organization with regional branches. Through the official portal dekranas.go.id, Dekranas aims to showcase Indonesia’s crafts and textiles more effectively to national and global audiences.

This initiative is part of Dekranas’ strategy to strengthen the presence of local artisans and expand the reach of Indonesian craft promotion.

Head of Promotion and Public Relations at Dekranas, Indri Angga Prabowo, said building a digital communications infrastructure is a strategic necessity to ensure Indonesian crafts gain wider recognition.

“Together with the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi), we are developing and migrating the official Dekranas website from dekranas.id to dekranas.go.id,” Indri said during the Dekranas Content Creation Standardization Socialization event at Rumah Kriya Asri on Thursday, June 11, 2026, as quoted by infopublik.id.

The new portal will serve not only as an information center but also as a digital showcase for programs, activities, documentation, and the promotion of Indonesian crafts and textiles. Dekranas expects the site to become a modern, accessible, and professional digital face of the organization, strengthening the image of Indonesian crafts at home and abroad.

The platform will integrate regional Dekranas websites through a subdomain system, allowing each branch to manage its own publications while remaining part of a unified national network. Indri noted that this integration is important, as many regional branches currently operate independent websites with varying formats and digital identities.

“We hope regional Dekranas websites can become subdomains of dekranas.go.id, creating a connected communications system that presents Indonesia’s craft potential comprehensively,” she said.

The portal will make it easier for the public to access information on regional craft products, exhibition schedules, artisan development programs, and promotional activities.

Dekranas is also preparing content standardization guidelines for all divisions and administrators. These cover news writing, photography, and video, visual identity, social media captions, and publication coordination.

Indri emphasized that standardization is essential to ensure all published information meets professional standards, is easily understood by the public, and reflects the organization’s identity.

“The goal is for all Dekranas publications to be uniform, professional, and aligned with the mission and image of Dekranas,” she said.

The guidelines are expected to help divisions and regional branches deliver publication materials more comprehensively and on time, ensuring effective communication of artisan empowerment programs.

The new portal will feature organizational profiles, articles, activity records, and an updated digital management book. All divisions and regional branches will also have space to upload information on their activities.

Dekranas’ digital communications initiative reflects its broader strategy to expand the promotion of Indonesian crafts amid shifting information consumption patterns toward digital platforms.

With an integrated system and standardized content, Dekranas hopes Indonesian crafts and textiles will gain greater visibility and open new market opportunities for artisans nationwide. ***
