RRI.CO.ID, Pontianak - The Kubu Raya Regency Health Agency, West Kalimantan in collaboration with the Terengganu Assistant Medical Office Malaysia (Pertubuhan Penolong Pegawai Perubatan Terengganu), has organized a free mass circumcision health program at the Kubu Raya Regent's Office.

"Cross-border collaboration in the health sector between Indonesia and Malaysia is manifested through this free circumcision program for the people of Kubu Raya Regency, held at the Praja Utama Hall of the Kubu Raya Regent's Office," said Kubu Raya Regent Sujiwo in Sungai Raya on Friday, August 14, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

Sujiwo expressed deep appreciation for Malaysia's support and care in bringing healthcare services to the community through this social initiative. According to him, cross-border cooperation in healthcare serves as a tangible form of shared concern for expanding public access to medical services.

The social event was attended by dozens of children from Kubu Raya alongside prominent Malaysian representatives, Datowira H. Samsuri bin Mat and Datowira Aliyar bin Mude.

Also present at the venue were Kubu Raya TP PKK Chairwoman Atzebiyatulensi Sujiwo, Kubu Raya Women's Organization Federation (GOW) Chairwoman Yuniarti Sukiryanto, and Kubu Raya Ribbon (Pita Kubu Raya) Chairwoman Utin Hajar.

The free circumcision program forms part of a broader series of social activities designed to provide direct benefits to local residents while strengthening bilateral relations and health cooperation between Indonesia and Malaysia.

"I hope similar collaborations can continue to be developed so that more people can reap the benefits of such inter-institutional and cross-border cooperation," Sujiwo concluded. ***
