KBRN, Jakarta: Album terbaru Ariana Grande, eternal sunshine deluxe: brighter days ahead, dirilis pada 28 Maret 2025. Lagu ke-21 dalam album tersebut, berjudul "Past Life", memiliki makna mendalam tentang kesadaran diri dan pertumbuhan emosional.

"Past Life" merupakan refleksi setelah berakhirnya sebuah hubungan yang tidak sehat. Lagu ini menggambarkan proses melepaskan seseorang yang dulu memberikan rasa nyaman, tetapi justru membawa dampak buruk.

Dengan menggunakan gambaran dan metafora, Ariana menyadari bahwa apa yang dulu ia anggap sebagai "obat" ternyata adalah "code blue". Sesuatu yang sebelumnya Ia anggap menyembuhkan, namun justru menyakitkan.
